Prime Minister Narendra Modi will host a special dinner at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, on Friday evening to honor the Delhi Police for their outstanding performance during the G20 Summit held on September 9 and 10. Approximately 300 Delhi Police officers and personnel, including 25 senior police officers, are expected to attend the event.

The G20 Summit, which saw the participation of more than 30 world leaders, high-ranking European Union officials, delegates from guest countries, and 14 heads of international organizations, concluded successfully on September 10. To ensure the security of all attendees and the smooth flow of proceedings, a massive security operation was implemented, involving over 50,000 personnel, including specialized units like dog squads and mounted police.

The venue, Pragati Maidan in central Delhi, was tightly secured with multiple layers of security measures.

In recognition of their exceptional efforts in organizing and executing the G20 Leaders’ Summit, Delhi Police Commissioner Sanjay Arora presented special commendation discs and certificates to officers and personnel in a felicitation ceremony held last week. This ceremony celebrated the flawless execution of the summit’s arrangements and underscored the dedication and professionalism of the Delhi Police force.
