Keonjhar: Chief Minister Mohan Majhi concluded his three-day visit to Keonjhar with a series of public appearances and interactions amidst heavy rains, which caused rescheduling of several events. Despite the weather conditions, CM Majhi actively participated in key cultural and religious functions, strengthening his connection with the local communities.

On the first day, Majhi visited the famous Sai Temple in the Bampada area, where he sought blessings from Sai Baba and was felicitated by the temple trust members. His next stop was the Maa Durga Mandap in New Colony, where he offered prayers during the 44th-anniversary celebration of the committee. The local organizers extended a formal invitation to the Chief Minister to attend the event, and he gratefully received the blessings of Maa Durga.

Continuing his tour, the Chief Minister visited the Durga Puja celebrations organized by the Bengali community near the Telephone Exchange. He toured the various mandaps and interacted with devotees. His final religious visit of the day was to the Durga Mandap in Atapura, where he paid his respects and observed the festivities.

The day concluded with a vibrant Navratri celebration hosted by the Gujarati community in the town. CM Majhi joined the event at 9:30 PM, where he engaged with community members and acknowledged the long-standing relationship between him and the Gujarati community. Having received formal invitations since 2000 when he was first elected as an MLA, Majhi expressed his gratitude for their consistent support and vowed to continue his efforts toward the upliftment of the Gujarati community in Keonjhar.

In his speech, Majhi fondly recalled his past experiences with the Gujarati community and reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring their progress. He praised the cultural unity and the ongoing contribution of the Gujarati community to the state’s development. Women, children, and elders gathered around him as he discussed local concerns and assured them of continued support from the government.

The Navratri celebrations featured various cultural performances, including traditional dances such as the Dandiya, which Majhi actively participated in, alongside Keonjhar MP Ananta Nayak and several local leaders. The vibrant atmosphere was filled with festivity and joy as Majhi mingled with attendees.

In his closing remarks, Chief Minister Mohan Majhi highlighted the significance of Maa Durga’s blessings, Keonjhar’s presiding deity Maa Tarini, and Lord Jagannath. He credited his role as Chief Minister to the divine grace of these deities, along with the support of Odisha’s people. Majhi expressed his vision for the future of Keonjhar, declaring that the district would soon be transformed into a “Golden Keonjhar” under the state’s progressive double-engine government. He emphasized the state’s commitment to advancing Odisha’s development and ensuring that Keonjhar remains a priority in the growth plan.

Former minister and senior Congress leader Niranjan Patnaik also addressed the gathering. Reflecting on his own political journey, he acknowledged that while he had served multiple terms as an MLA and a minister, he had never attained the role of Chief Minister, highlighting the uniqueness of Majhi’s position and success.

Chief Minister Mohan Majhi’s visit to Keonjhar was marked by a series of cultural exchanges, community interactions, and promises of continued development, leaving a positive impact on the region and its people.
