Odisha Government to Fill 7,540 High School Teacher Vacancies, Certificate Verification in Progress

In a significant move, the Odisha government has made the decision to address the shortage of educators in government high schools by filling 7,540 vacant teacher positions across various categories. The Odisha Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is actively engaged in the teacher selection process, which is currently in its final stages.

The process of selecting qualified teachers is nearing its conclusion, with the final list of candidates prepared and awaiting verification. Currently, the certificate verification process is in progress, and this crucial step is being carried out by the District Education Officers in all 30 districts of the state.

The certificate verification process is on the verge of completion, with a specific focus on candidates with disabilities to ensure inclusivity. To facilitate a smooth and error-free process, all District Education Officers (DEOs) have been instructed to rectify any discrepancies that may arise during the verification. Additionally, candidates are encouraged to reach out to the DEO office for clarification and support.

In a proactive step, a dedicated support center has been established at the Directorate of Secondary Education, further streamlining the certificate verification process.

Upon the successful completion of the certificate verification process, the final list of selected teachers will be officially released. This initiative not only addresses the crucial need for educators in high schools but also ensures a fair and inclusive selection process. Stay tuned for further updates on this development.
