1 min readIn Hangzhou, the Indian Men’s Hockey Team clinched the gold medal in the Asian Games by defeating Japan 5-1 in the final. This victory not only secured them the top spot on the podium but also earned them a spot in the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris.
Captain Harmanpreet Singh scored twice in the 32nd and 59th minutes, with additional goals from Manpreet Singh (25th min), Amit Rohidas (36th min), and Abhishek (48th min). Japan managed to score a solitary goal, courtesy of Seren Tanaka from an indirect penalty corner.
