1 min readIn a remarkable turn of events, Ashok Chandra Panda, the Minister for Science and Technology and SSEPD of Odisha, recently inaugurated the highly anticipated IDCA 7th T20 National Cricket Championship for Deaf in 2023.
Sumit Jain, the esteemed President of IDCA, warmly expressed his gratitude to the state of Odisha for their unwavering support in making this championship a reality.
This momentous occasion witnessed the presence of key figures in the cricket world, including Ajay Kumar, the General Secretary of IDCA, Dev Dutt, a BCCI certified coach with IDCA, Cdr DK Mishra (Retd), Vice Chairman of ODCA, and Sagarkanta Senapati, the General Secretary of ODCA.
Though unexpected circumstances led to the matches at CSIR IMMT ground being called off, the cricket enthusiasts adapted with resilience and transformed the T20 format into thrilling T10 matches.
The change in format only seemed to ignite the passion and determination of the players, who approached their games with unwavering zeal and enthusiasm. The matches unfolded at three different locations, and, remarkably, even the rain Gods decided to play along, blessing this championship with their cooperation.
