India Strikes Gold with Record-Breaking Performance at 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou

In a triumphant moment at the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, India’s shooting team secured their first gold medal with an exceptional performance in the Men’s 10m Air Rifle Team event. Rudransh Patil, Divyansh Singh Panwar, and Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar displayed unparalleled skill, setting a new world record with a score of 1893.7. Patil, a World Championship gold medalist, contributed 632.5 points, Panwar added 629.6, and Tomar delivered 631.6, clinching the top spot in the team competition.

Their remarkable achievement surpassed the previous world record of 1983.3 set by China earlier that year. At the end of the first round, India was in second place with 313.7 points, closely trailing China with 315.0. Korea, Japan, and Bangladesh were also in contention. However, India’s consistent excellence shone through as they secured their gold medal.
